Limits of Liability Choices:
• 25,000/50,000 Limits of Liability–This is a state minimum for Kentucky, and if your own your home this coverage is not nearly enough.
• 50,000/100,000 Limits of Liability–This is the next step up. If you own your home but it is only worth under $75,000 this is a good coverage.
• 100,000/300,000 Limits of Liability–If your home is worth more than $75,000 but no more than $200,000 this coverage would work for you.
• 250,000/500,000 Limits of Liability–If your home is worth more than $200,000 this coverage would work for you.
Uninsured/Underinsured Coverage
This coverage is a compensatory coverage. If an uninsured driver hits you and your medical bills are over your personal injury protection coverage, this would be the coverage you would fall back on to receive payment for your bills.

Personal Injury Protection
This is the no-fault party of Kentucky's law. Your insurance will cover the first $10,000 worth of your doctor, hospital, and prescription bills, along with lost wages regardless of who is at fault in an accident.
Umbrella Coverage
This coverage is designed to cover above all other coverages from $1,000,000+. Underlying coverage must be at least $250,000–$500,000 for auto and homeowners liability at least $300,000. The Umbrella acts as an umbrella over your auto, your home, ATV's, motorcycles, and boats. It is very inexpensive—normally $150 a year—and it is also available for businesses.
